ATLANTA — A fuel system failure at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport released an estimated 10,000 gallons of fuel into the airport’s stormwater system and the Flint River late last week, prompting an ongoing environmental cleanup, officials said.
The spill happened Jan. 30 when a fuel pit hydrant connected to a fuel system pipeline malfunctioned, according to authorities.
