The first global climate report for 2026 was released this week, and it already indicates that this year will rank among our planet’s very warmest on record. It’s only February, but climate scientists say that, based on the January report, there is a greater than 99.9% chance this year will rank among Earth’s top ten warmest years and an 85% chance it will be among the five warmest years on record.
