    • Olive oil, salt, and pepper

Instructions:

Brown the beef in olive oil, then set aside.

Sauté vegetables in the same pot until soft.

Add tomato puree, wine, and bay leaves.

Return the beef to the pot and simmer for 3 hours until tender.

Argentine Carbonada

Ingredients:

    • 2 lbs beef stew meat
    • 2 cups Malbec wine
    • 2 onions, chopped
    • 2 potatoes, diced
    • 1 sweet potato, diced
    • 1 cup corn (fresh or frozen)
    • 1 can diced tomatoes
    • 1 tsp cumin, salt, and pepper

Instructions:

Brown beef in a pot. Add onions and cook until translucent.

Pour in the wine, then add tomatoes, spices, and vegetables.

Simmer for 2 hours, adding corn in the last 30 minutes.
