Strong winds and very dry air are creating extremely critical fire weather conditions across the central and southern Plains. Gusts combined with low relative humidity may allow any fires that develop to spread rapidly.
Meanwhile, two Pacific storm systems will continue moving into the western United States, bringing gusty winds, periods of rain, and heavy mountain snow.
