In the Pacific Northwest, continued onshore flow combined with a strong and active jet stream will funnel multiple disturbances into the region. This setup will result in nearly continuous snowfall across the Cascade Mountains through Thursday evening.
Snow totals of two to four feet are expected in the Washington and Oregon Cascades, with the colder air mass allowing snow to fall even at some mountain passes.
As several cold fronts move through the Northwest, snow levels will steadily drop through Wednesday night, raising the possibility of wet snow mixing in at lower elevations, including areas such as Tacoma and Seattle.
