A new study conducted by animal scientists at the University of California and published in the journal Scientific Reports describes how they used sweet molasses feed for grazing cattle to see whether they would roam further to graze or stay closer to the herd and food and water stations. The findings offer a low-cost way for ranchers and farmers to understand the best cows for the landscape to optimise grazing but also meet the nutritional needs of their herds and cattle.
