Proximity to Operating Nuclear Power Plants
A new study published in Nature finds that U.S. counties located near operational nuclear power plants have higher cancer mortality rates. While the risk is observed across all age groups, it is strongest among older adults, particularly males aged 65–74 and females aged 55–64.
