Boeing fighter jet F-47 will be built in Missouri | State News | News World

COLUMBIA — President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced Friday that aerospace company Boeing has been awarded a contract to build the next fighter jet for the United States.

The jet will be manufactured at Boeing’s defense branch based in St. Louis, right next to the St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

In a statement posted to X on Friday, Gov. Mike Kehoe said this project, called Next Generation Air Dominance, will bring in thousands of jobs, as well as drive economic growth throughout the state.
