Bombardier announced Tuesday that its new Global 8000 now offers the lowest cabin altitude of any business jet in production.
The Canadian aerospace manufacturer said the Global 8000 has a cabin altitude of 2,691 feet while flying at 41,000 feet.
Cabin altitude is a measurement of pressure inside an aircraft cabin translated to feet above sea level. The cabin altitude of most commercial flights is between 5,000 and 8,000 feet, while the range for business jets is generally between 3,000 and 6,000 feet.
Passengers will have roughly the same feeling of pressure, breathability, and comfort on a Global 8000 as they would standing atop the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, Bombardier officials said.
