HILLSDALE, Mich. (WILX) – The U.S. Department of Defense has potentially set its sights on two Michigan colleges for higher education partnerships.
The University of Michigan and Hillsdale College are both on the list of potential new partners.
According to a department memo, federal officials are preparing to cancel several fellowship programs at Ivy League and private institutions.
U of M and Hillsdale College could be the new homes to what the Defense Department calls its Professional Military Education programs, according to a memorandum released by the department.
The U.S. Department of Defense decided to cancel several of its fellowship programs with institutions across the nation, including multiple Ivy League schools.
