DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – Questions and concerns from local leaders after a Facebook post from a Duluth state senator has some people raising their eyebrows.
In a post on her personal Facebook account late Wednesday night, state senator Jennifer McEwen, a DFLRer from Duluth, referred to the 148th Fighter Wing’s jets as an “onslaught of killer war planes.”
Sen. McEwen’s comment seemed to be sparked by the jets flying over her house.
McEwen described the combination of Canadian wildfire smoke and the 148th jet flyovers as a “dystopian reality” and ended the post saying “it truly is too much” referring to the quality of air.
