WASHINGTON (7News) — After Congress voted to end the 43-day shutdown Wednesday night, federal workers who are about to return to work are still closely watching the calendar, with a repeat of the stalemate on Capitol Hill possible when funding runs out at the end of January.
This shutdown was the longest in history, leaving federal workers waiting for their next paycheck.
However, Congress approved a continuing resolution, meaning the government is funded only through Jan. 30 – a little more than two months from now.
