IMMOKALEE, Fla.—A major aviation investment is taking off at Immokalee Regional Airport. Global Flight Training Solutions has signed a long-term agreement with Collier County to develop more than 500 acres of airport property.
The company plans to transform the small regional airport into a hub for flight training and jet storage.
Global Flight Training Solutions, which trains flight students from around the world, will begin phased development at the airport. The company is addressing a growing shortage of jet storage by constructing additional hangars.
