Severe flooding swept across the island Friday morning, from Kahaluu in Windward Oahu to Kaimuki, according to local news reports. Oahu is the hardest-hit region, where muddy floodwaters have engulfed vast areas.
Flash Flood Warnings
According to the National Weather Service, most of the state remain under a flood watch, with Haleiwa and Waialua in northern Oahu under a flash flood warning.
High surf advisory for north facing shores of niihau kauai and Oahu. A northerly swell is building in and will create large surf for north facing shores peaking Saturday afternoon and then slowly declining Saturday night.
