A few weeks back I stumbled upon developer HoYoverse’s $10 United States Dollar ‘Genshin Impact’ pre-order bundle. If you didn’t already hear, the company’s free-to-play open-world adventure title was announced for Xbox Series consoles and Xbox Cloud Gaming back during the early days of gamescom. Once a smaller mobile game studio, HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact has propelled the company into a major position in the free-to-play market across the world, thanks to the game’s broad availability and console game-like quality. A proper good job to the company as the money Genshin costed likely would’ve bankrupted the company had things go south.
