One of the strangest recurring plot points I’ve noticed in DC Comics is that every time Superman comes into contact with his father, it’s almost always a joyous occasion. But Batman has almost the exact opposite problem, as every time Bruce explores the history of his parents, DC seems hellbent on making them into terrible people, and I wish this plot would stop repeating.
