Everybody loves a good fighter jet versus supercar drag race. Such an event is, of course, deeply silly, as pretty much any modern fighter has to hit around 150 mph just to take off, and afterburners beat launch control every time. There was, however, that one time when Ferrari raced a bunch of F1 cars against Italian Air Force F-104 Starfighters, and Gilles Villeneuve actually won. In general, the point is a fun spectacle. And when Lamborghini did it with the one-off Pregunta concept car, it was quite the show.
In this case, the car racing the fighter jet isn’t nearly as quick, but that’s not really the point of the demonstration. Instead, it’s meant to show the link between the car and the plane, as the latter was the inspiration for the former. The demo run…
