Let the summer game showcase mayhem begin! | Kaser Focus | Gaming

Sony has officially fired the starting pistol on the summer games multitude event, as it announced its May State of Play on May 29 and aired it on May 30. The State of Play was a fairly understated event — it wasn’t a full-blown dog-and-pony show — but it also gave us the first major games reveals of the summer. This means that the summer gaming show has begun, and we’re hardly going to be stopping to breathe until roughly June 10.

Most of the event was fairly pedestrian (though I did note that, despite their announcement that this was about late 2024 games, there were a lot of 2025 titles in the mix), with the biggest reveals being Firewalk’s Concord, a gameplay trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds and a new Astro Bot.
