Microsoft is auto-installing new Sticky Notes on Windows 11, Windows 10 | Windows

Microsoft recently announced a new full-fledged non-UWP Sticky Notes integrated with the OneNote app for Microsoft 365. The new app is now rolling out to everyone on Windows 11 and Windows 10.

Sticky Notes is a handy tool for jotting down important stuff and revisiting it later, and it’s getting better with a new update. Windows Latest spotted that Microsoft is now auto-installing the new Sticky Notes app on stable builds of Windows, and the new version does not replace the old UWP client for now.

Unlike the existing Sticky Notes, which is based on the Windows Universal Platform, the new Sticky Notes is a Win32 app without web tech. If you have a OneNote desktop client on Windows, the app will automatically be installed. You’ll also find the shortcut to the app in the Start menu and other places.
