As we head into a new week, let’s take a look at the news from this past week.
Riverside Park’s standing pond is going to be reconnected to the Acushnet River to recreate a salt marsh and restore habitat in a project that’s getting a $50,000 helping hand. The project is part of a larger effort to restore the New Bedford Harbor, a Superfund site that is now 99% cleaned up. Restoration will create a dynamic, healthy salt marsh habitat and is part of the larger RiverWalk recreational path.
Dartmouth’s 2025 Fall Town Meeting passed all 14 articles on the warrant Tuesday night, Oct. 21, at Dartmouth High School, including one that changes how governing bodies introduce new rules and regulations, and another to balance a spending deficit after a tough year when it came to supplying enough…more
