SALISBURY, Maryland– Piedmont Airlines, a leading airline in the regional industry, is growing its team and will resume hiring Low Time First Officers and Cadets in December 2023.

First Officers and Cadets who join Piedmont can kickstart their journey toward American Airlines while being among the highest-paid pilots in the regional industry, with First Officers starting at $93 per hour. Other quality of life benefits include:
- Compensating First Officers as Captains after accumulating 750 flight hours
- Contractual flow to American Airlines at 5 years or move to top of pay scale
- Minimum of 4 hours of flight pay for each day(s) of the assignment
- Commuting pilots in non-hub locations will receive four hotel nights per month
- 50% bonus on designated holidays (including “The Big Game”) for all pilots
- Minimum of 12 days off and additional enhancements to bid schedules
First Officers who bring their hours from their current Part 121 carrier will be compensated for their experience: High Time First Officers with 500-949 hours of qualified Part 121 time and a type rating for the Embraer 135/140/145 earn $125,000 in their first paycheck.
