PlayStation reportedly enacts fresh wave of layoffs, with staff who worked on cancelled live-service games and Last of Us remaster support studio affected | Gaming

PlayStation is reportedly laying off more staff as part of restructuring of its US operations, with developers who worked on Bend Studio’s cancelled live-service game and at the Visual Arts studio which provided support on the likes of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us remasters allegedly among those affected.

This is according to a report from Kotaku, which claims that Visual Arts staff based in San Diego were informed earlier this week that their last day at Sony would be March 7, and cites a LinkedIn post from former Visual Arts project manager and current Riot Games senior lead producer Abby LeMaster.
