A potent coastal storm is set to blast the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast with snow, rain and wind through the end of the weekend and into the start of the week. A low-pressure system is expected to rapidly intensify into a classic nor’easter throughout the day as it continues to track north.
This system will bring hazardous conditions to millions over the next 48 hours.
New York’s First Blizzard Warning In Almost A Decade
This storm is set to bring gusting winds and heavy snow, which means that a major blizzard is headed for the areas of the East Coast today. Stuck between high pressure in Eastern Canada and through the central parts of the country, a tightened gradient will help to bring gusts between 40 and 70 mph.
