Migrating Heat
Heat moved into the Eastern Plains and Midwest on Thursday and into the Southeast on Friday as an upper level ridge continues to round out and weaken in the Southern US. The greatest temperature anomalies will be in the Central and Southern Plains to Illinois and Indiana where temperatures could reach 25-35 degrees above average.
The Southeast will be in Minor HeatRisk on Friday, primarily affecting those who are extremely sensitive to heat and without cooling or hydration.
