In issue #1 of Star Wars The High Republic Adventures: Dispatches From the Occlusion Zone I remarked that that comic was a frustrating one. Instead of telling a self-contained story featuring characters trapped within the Nihil-separated part of the galaxy, it was rather part of a larger story that readers would have to go elsewhere for the full plot. And the story itself was inconsequential to the larger plot going on.

Thankfully, issue #2 of Dispatches From the Occlusion Zone remedies many of these complaints. Here in issue #2, writer Alyssa Wong tells a, surprise-surprise, self-contained story centered on Crash Ongwa and conflicted Jedi Ruu.
