Scientists Warn of Worsening Climate Disasters as Global Carbon Emissions Hit Record Highs | News World

Natural disasters are expected to worsen as fossil fuel use continues and global climate efforts fail to secure binding reduction commitments.

Declining global efforts to reduce greenhouse gases, combined with continued fossil fuel use, is making weather events and natural disasters more intense. Nearly a decade ago, most nations signed the Paris Agreement to limit emissions and slow climate change. However, global pledges and follow-through have fallen short, allowing carbon pollution to accumulate in the atmosphere, trap heat, and drive-up temperatures worldwide, according to a recent report by FOX 13.
