Tuesday marked a strong showing for a new Texas House committee on the Delivery of Government Efficiency, which was modeled after Trump’s DOGE.

Gov. Greg Abbott could soon control a new regulation-slashing state entity, the “Texas Regulatory Efficiency Office,” after a supermajority of the Texas House on Tuesday gave its initial approval to Senate Bill 14, a priority of the state’s upper chamber.
