The Oregon Outback International Dark Sky Sanctuary has been designated the largest Dark Sky Sanctuary on the planet, covering more than 2.5 million acres of wide-open high desert. Out here, the Milky Way isn’t faint or subtle—it stretches across the sky in full view, planets glow, and shooting stars are common enough to stop counting.
