According to the BBC , a photograph taken by climate scientist Steffen Olsen of the Danish Meteorological Institute has gone viral worldwide after showing Siberian huskies walking on water in Greenland .

This scientist describes this situation as “terrifying” because the dogs were actually walking on a layer of meltwater, about the height of a human ankle , on the sea ice of Inglefield Bredning, an 80-kilometer-long area in northwest Greenland.
