Nearly 650,000 customers lost power in the Northeast at the height of the storm.
Several large cities reported heavy snowfall along the East Coast, including 14″ in Philadelphia, more than 19 inches in New York City, and around 17″ in Boston. The bomb cyclone generated hurricane-strength winds. The Nor’easter produced gusts as strong as 77 mph in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, 71 mph in Martha’s Vineyard, off the southern coast of Cape Cod, and 83 mph about 20 miles east in Nantucket.
