After the National Weather Service conducted new surveys on a powerful tornado that struck Enderlin, North Dakota, on June 20, they upgraded the twister to an EF-5 rating this week. Underscoring just how rare a tornado of that power is, the Enderlin tornado is the first EF-5 since 2013. It takes winds of 200 mph or greater to get that classification.
