A coast-to-coast temperature contrast defines the weekend—unseasonable warmth across the West, cooler conditions in the East. Meanwhile, rain and high-elevation snow linger in the Pacific Northwest with a weakening, atmospheric river-fueled storm.
The West will be unseasonably warm this weekend, making it feel more like September than October. On Saturday, temperatures for most of the Rockies to the West Coast should climb to between 10 and 25 degrees above average. Highs will be in the 70s as far north as parts of the Pacific Northwest.
