This week in Australia’s largest city, the world’s leading space officials came together to share bold and ambitious plans for the coming decade and beyond in both human and robotic space exploration.
Held in Sydney as part of the 76th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the event attracted approximately 7,000 attendees and highlighted a growing trend toward global collaboration and partnership in the future of space.
A Global Future in Space
At the high-profile “One-to-One with Heads of Space Agencies” plenary session held on Monday, September 29, representatives from major space agencies — NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Canadian Space Agency (CSA), China National Space Administration (CNSA), and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), outlined plans ranging from human lunar missions to asteroid exploration and beyond.
