Tropical Storm Jerry is steadily approaching the northern Leeward Islands this evening, with tropical storm conditions expected to impact parts of the region tonight and into Friday morning. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has issued Tropical Storm Warnings and Watches for multiple islands in the storm’s projected path.
Although Jerry remains poorly organized, it still poses threats of strong winds, heavy rain, and dangerous surf.
Current Storm Details
As of the latest advisory (5:00 PM EST), the center of Tropical Storm Jerry was located near latitude 17.3 North and longitude 60.6 West, about 175 miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands. Maximum sustained winds remain near 65 mph, and the storm is moving west-northwest at 18 mph. The minimum central pressure is estimated at 1001 millibars.
