The Southwest U.S. is bracing for unexpected downpours and potential heavy flooding, which is expected to persist through the weekend. Heavy rainfall and a serious flood threat are expected in some of the driest areas of the Southwest, due to the remnants of former Hurricane Priscilla, which is combining with another storm system.
Moisture associated with Priscilla will lead to a significant heavy rainfall and a flash flood risk across portions of Arizona, southern Utah, southwest Colorado, and far northwest New Mexico through Saturday.
