Taking into account wind chill, portions of the plains will feel nearly 100 degrees warmer or more early next week. By Monday afternoon, most of the country will be relatively mild as temperatures climb to around 10 to nearly 25 degrees above average. Highs will soar into the 60s as far north as South Dakota on Monday. Highs could climb into the 90s in the Desert Southwest during the middle of the week.

Next week’s only exceptions to the warm-up will be in the southeast, Intermountain West, and along the West Coast from northern California into Washington and Oregon. These regions will be as much as 5 to 10 degrees below average.
