Kojima Productions and 505 Games shocked everyone earlier this month when they revealed and simultaneously released an Xbox Series X/S port of Death Stranding : Director’s Cut. Death Stranding also received a 50% discount on Xbox consoles upon its launch, which was even more surprising. The game normally costs $40 on Microsoft’s platform, but Xbox players can currently grab it for a mere $20.

Death Stranding was originally a PlayStation-owned IP; the game was funded, published, and produced by the console manufacturer itself. Nonetheless, it was still able to come to Xbox consoles because KojiPro recently bought the rights to Death Stranding from Sony Interactive Entertainment.
