Greenland is a geologically rich land. It boasts a 4-billion-year old geological history, with ice-scoured landscapes of mountains and fjords adding to its dramatic atmosphere. Once, it was actually situated in the Southern Hemisphere, before continental drift took it to its current position – now not far from the Arctic. This may be one reason it is appealing to Trump, for security reasons, in addition to the abundance of minerals available.
