Here’s what it’s all about
- Twelve people and a dog—whose job is to warn them of polar bears—have themselves enclosed in a special ship in the Arctic ice, where they will drift for up to a year.
- 32 research institutions from around the world are participating in the project. The supply of fuel and food must last for the entire drift. Space for trash is limited.
- A doctor and a cook are along for the ride: Four months of darkness, shared restrooms, and exercise equipment await them…
