Can robots really replace all factory workers? Robotics researchers say a resounding “no”.

Humanoid robots may be skilled at language, such as in the leading language models like Gemini and ChatGPT. But UC Berkeley roboticist Ken Goldberg argues that robots are lacking real-world skills and data. Could this gap between real-world data and language skills mean robots might not completely replace our jobs as feared?
