The president’s Florida home, where he often spends time while out of the White House, has a permanent no-fly order over it.
WASHINGTON — F-16 fighter jets were dispatched to the skies over Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday to intercept a civilian aircraft flying near President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, U.S officials said.
According to a statement from the North American Aerospace Defense Command, commonly referred to as NORAD, the incident happened sometime around 1:15 p.m.
“The situation was resolved safely,” NORAD officials later posted on X.
