Mexicana de Aviación, the state-owned airline operated by the Mexican government, has taken delivery of its sixth aircraft, marking the arrival of the first Embraer E190-E2 model in Mexico. The aircraft arrived at Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) as part of a strategic procurement agreement with Embraer for 20 aircraft, aimed at strengthening the carrier’s operational capacity and domestic connectivity ahead of planned international expansion.
The new E190-E2, delivered on May 2, is the first of ten units of this model expected to join the fleet, to be followed by additional units of the larger E195-E2.
