According to the National Hurricane Center, a broad area of low pressure is forecast to develop early next week well southwest of the southern tip of Baja California. Environmental conditions are expected to become increasingly favorable for development afterward, and a tropical depression is likely to form by the middle of next week as the system moves westward or west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph across the western portion of the eastern Pacific.
