Well, she made it.
After 45 years, my better half has survived thick and thin, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health — and, perhaps most remarkably, in dealing with me. She deserves a trophy. Not a participation trophy, mind you, but a grand-prize blue ribbon in first place.
Unfortunately for her, the grand prize is simply more years of yours…
