Just a quick post with some Arctic climate related news.
First, in summer 2025, the National Snow and Ice Data Center (not a U.S. Federal agency) lost funding to support the popular Sea Ice Today monthly narrative summary of ice conditions in both the Arctic and Antarctic that was written by NSIDC experts. Happily, funding has now been secured to allow the resumption of the summary, just in time for the approaching Arctic sea ice minimum.
