Apple’s switch to OLED panels for its entire tablet lineup has been in the news for a couple of years now. The company was reportedly going to source OLED panels for the iPad Pro and iPad mini primarily from Samsung.
A new report indicates that the iPad Air might also adopt OLED panels next year, with Samsung Display emerging as the main supplier of these panels.
It may be launched in the first half of next year
According to the report out of South Korea, Samsung Display will start mass production of iPad Air OLED panels by the end of this year. This would suggest that Apple’s first OLED iPad Air may be launched in 2027.
