MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) – Small business owners who are thinking of retiring had a chance to learn how to properly plan before exiting their business.
The Ore Dock Brewing Co. hosted the Business Succession Planning panel, held by Range Bank and Kendrick’s Bordeau. Topics discussed included making sure you know who the business will be transferring to. Range Bank’s Chief Trust in Wealth Management Officer Amanda Knaffla says discussing important topics with family, such as who will be taking over the business, are important conversations to have before you think of retiring.
Knaffla says to always make sure you properly plan ahead before considering retirement.
