Toxic Dust Raises New Health Concerns
Researchers from Utah State University and the University of Utah found that dust from the drying Great Salt Lake contains metal pollutants that may pose a danger to people and food crops. The study, published in Atmospheric Environment, was led by former graduate student Molly Blakowski under the supervision of Janice Brahney, with support from geochemist Diego Fernandez.
