CHICAGO (WBBM) – A Chicago teen who was held in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody in Kentucky for two months is now home.
A judge allowed him to go free on bond just in time to graduate from high school.
It was an embrace Ricardo Hernandez Navarette hasn’t had since March.
The 18-year-old was detained by ICE with his mother, Liliana, during a routine asylum check-in.
Liliana was released last week from a detention center in Kentucky and reunited with her other son….
