CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -As a parasite-related illness outbreak connected to Cyclospora is being investigated, we went to Tri-C’s Hospitality Management Center to get guidance from a food safety expert on which produce to handle with extra care and how to properly wash fruits and vegetables at home.
Karen Monath, Associate Dean of Hospitality at Tri-C, said lettuce is among the top concerns because of its physical structure.
“There are lots of nooks and crannies,” Mnathew said.
